An Open Letter to the Working Secretarial Practitioners

It gives me immense pleasure to introduce you to Institution for Secretarial Practices and Development (INSPIRE) - a non-profit voluntary professional body of secretarial practitioners, registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860. Primarily, INSPIRE was promoted in 1993, with the twin objective to facilitate better interaction amongst our fraternity and to strengthen professional bond between secretarial practitioners besides, of course, serving a useful purpose in our day-to-day functioning.
With the advent of millennium year, it was considered prudent to focus attention on the crucial issues concerning our profession, as due to rapid computerization and automation, the secretarial needs of modern officers have changed altogether and the success and/or survival of professionals in the field depend upon the knowledge, skill and attitudes. Majority of our members have been facing this challenge of change. Thus, INSPIRE looked forward to provide some opportunities to acquire desired exposure, in order to harness the benefits of emerging technologies. Since then, INSPIRE has been doing yeoman job, with a view strive for the growth, development and maintenance of high standards of professionals conduct and work ethics, by way or organizing seminars, workshops, lectures, etc., with a view to keep members abreast with latest developments in the area of their profession. Besides, a spirit of togetherness and friendliness has been created amongst its members, through excursion trips, draws, souvenirs, celebrations of foundation day etc. every year. Since then, INSPIRE has grown in size and strength and with the dedicated support and cooperation of the members, it has made a number of achievements in the direction of fulfilling its aims and objectives.
To make INSPIRE stronger, your participation, involvement, cooperation and support is of utmost importance. I would implore upon you and to coax your fellow friends in the secretarial profession to join INSPIRE and enjoy its fruits. Any working secretarial professional is eligible to join and become its esteemed members, by paying a very nominal fee of Rs.500/- and annual subscription of Rs.400/-. I would request you to join this prestigious organization of professionals by filling up the enrolment membership from annexed to this letter and feel proud to be its member to share your knowledge, happiness and sorrow, if any, with your fellow friends.
An updated Members Directory containing names, official/residential addresses and contact numbers of its members along with their photographs has been uploaded on INSPIRE Website for their best information and interaction. Please join INSPIRE to know your fellow friends for better introduction, interaction and understanding.
