Milestones

• Since its inception in 1993, three fold rejuvenation programmes are being organized every year for the involvement of members at large, i.e. EXCURSION TRIPS to some nearby places which provide a good escape from the monotony of the routine life; secondly, ANNUAL FOUNDATION DAY is organized with great pomp and show in April/May; thirdly, ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING is held in which Accounts of previous financial year are passed and an eminent speaker is also called at the same time to address on personality development etc.
• With a view to enhance the personal esteem amongst the secretaries, a Two Days National level Workshop on the theme “SECRETARIAL EFFECTIVENESS AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT” was conducted in the year 1994, in which number of working secretaries participated. In addition to the address given by the dignitaries, interactive sessions were also conducted. Further, on completion of successful ten years, a grand programme was organized at resorts, which witnessed full participation of the esteemed members, patrons, executives and like-minded personalities.
• Amongst various high spirited programmes, a three days National Level Workshop was organized in the year 2000, at CII Convention Centre, Chandigarh, with a motivational theme to provide a thorough insight and a practical exposure on INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND ASSOCIATED UTILITIES, Forty two delegates from different parts of the Country, belonging to major Industries, Scientific Technical Bodies, Corporations, Companies and Govt. Organisations participated in it. The workshop covered the topics such as International Technology, Internet and E-commerce, Multi-Media, Electronics Mail and Video Conferencing etc.
• A broad family atmosphere is always emphasized for providing opportunity to our members, for their overall development, both at personal as well as at professional front, by organizing seminars, symposiums, talk-shows, interactive sessions etc. on vivid topics such as ‘MANAGEMENT WISDOM FOR SECRETARIES, KEYS TO SUCCESS”, “SECRETARIAL EFFECTIVENESS AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT”, “START OF JOURNEY IN YOUR INNER SOUL”, “EXPLORE THE APPROPRIATE ATTITUDE TO ENJOY YOUR WORK” etc.etc.
• With an aim to motivate and inspire new incumbents to join secretarial hierarchy and to inculcate professional attitude amongst them, we have successfully organised shortand and typewriting contests in open categories, at different speed levels. In the recent past, one such test was organized, in which 125 aspirants actively participated and winners were honoured with cash awards. INSPIRE has also taken initiative to honour the revered shorthand/typewriting Teachers/Gurus’ with great respect, with a specially carved out “SIR PITMAN AWARD” in such like programmes.
• On successful rendering yeoman service to the INSPIRE fraternity, since its inception in the year 1993 and on completion of twenty five years, INSPIRE celebrated a gala event as “Silver Jubilee-cum-Foundation Day” on 9th September 2018 at Chandigarh with great pomp and show. A Key Note Address “Importance of Observance of Silver Jubilee-cum-Foundation Day” was given by one of INSPIRE’s Founder Member as well as Executive Member. All former Chairmans of INSPIRE were invited and honoured on this great event. Many members of the Institution were felicitated on this occasion for their elevation to higher posts in their respective Departments.
